So I just completed The Secret of the Snallygaster: Washington, DC, USA (Cities of Adventure)

So the book talks about the journey of a family in Washington DC. The family is there because the father had a “talk” to give. The adventure starts when the children finds a letter and some riddles to save a treasure.
The book gives a great insights about the city WASHINGTON DC and the places to cover all blended into a great going story. The writing is simple as the book is made for children from the age group 9+ and the story keeps someone like me as well engaged throughout. Apart from a gripping timeline and plot, the book has great graphics to support the text and imagination. It really helps to understand what writer had in mind when he was writing that story. I am confused about what genre to put the book in. It has a blend of facts, mystical, fiction and travel. If you read it, let me know what genre you will be putting this in. The ending is quite great, somewhat predictable but insights are great. Better work could have been done on keeping it generic mystical but the agenda I guess was not to get this into fantasy but to get people read more about Washington DC and the author was able to do that. The book also has a printing mistake but the seller/publisher messaged me via amazon that the mistake has been rectified in upcoming versions so when you buy the book, chances are the book is up and in the best formatted way. Overall a great light read for someone who reads a lot and amazing read for students in terms of getting them know about Washington DC and US History.
