Yet again, I am again talking about a book. Yes again a book, bear with me. But this is not a normal book. Neither it is a story of another human, it is story of a much loved animal “DOG” and guess what the whole story is in the narrative of a dog. This way, it makes it an amazing read.

“Woof! Adventures by the Sea” is a title by Aparna Karthikeyan where she tells the story of her adopted dog “Shingmo” . Talking about the plot of the book. The plot revolves around beach dogs where they discover another abandoned dog. They decide to teach the puppy basic life lessons so that it can survive on its own.

The story runs smoothly where the conversations and thoughts of dogs carry the story ahead. The plot is nearly perfect. The characters in the story has proper place and direction to take the story ahead.

Along with an amazing story, the book has amazing illustrations for the scenes adds to the beauty of the book. All the illustrations were done by Sagar Kalwankar, who seems to have amazing experience over his work.

The book also has small character descriptions in between of the story (on separate pages) which explains why a particular character is behaving the way he/she is doing. This adds to the story and better understanding of the story for the reader.

The story moves forward when the new puppy got adopted by a lady and finds a new home and her adventure (Yes!! she is a female dog) in her new house.

Up to the last page of the story, I had a perception that the whole story is a work of fiction but when I got a chance to talk to the author, I got to know that the lady who adopted the dog was the author herself.

Here is a picture of Shingmo who has her birthday tomorrow, i.e., 14th May, so lets say her

Happy Birthday

Overall the book is an amazingly fast read. Let us all pledge to Adopt. #AdoptDontShop
