What if I tell you that a book with one story written by not one or two but 16 best of the authors where they write one chapter each without knowing how the story is going to be followed, will you tell me that this is something never heard of ?

Well HarperCollinsPublishersIndia made it possible. They published one of its kind book which is written by multiple authors carrying the same timeline. This was done under the initiative #StoriesConnectUs .

The Last Ones” is the story of Manorama and how her life changes one day when she wakes up. I am not going to reveal the story of the book as it is a very small read of 56 pages and one can give it a read through this link.

The best part about this book is that the story never loses the essence and plot even when written by multiple people. The story is started by “Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni” where she explains the plot really well. We all know Chitra from her book “A Palace of Illusion” and “The Forest of Enchantment” while writing this, she made sure that the magic of her words keeps the readers hooked from the very beginning of the story.

Other chapter that I really loved was written by “Harini Srinivasan”. I have read her book “The Curse of Anuganga” and the way she has written that historical fiction is amazing. I never really got into that genre but that might be the only book I loved in that particular genre.

Talking about “The Last Ones”, it never loses its pace. The plot is kept intact, there is no unnecessary information about the characters. The entry of all the character were timely and the way every character played its role, it kept the story inline.

So a successful experiment by HarperCollinsPublishersIndia and congratulations to all the writers who came forward for this story.

The entire month of April, I am blogging from A2Z powered by #BlogchatterA2Z
